Telemarketing Sales Structure

Hi everyone –

I was wondering if any of you could share your commission structures for your outbound sales teams.

We have an in-house team in a not-for-profit presenting theater. We’re looking to possibly restructure after several seasons on the same model. We are also looking down the road in the event we are able announce Hamilton, how that affect season sales and commissionable dollars.

If you can answer the following I would very grateful –

  • Is your telemarketing/telefunding in house or contracted out?
  • What is your commission structure on packages?
  • What are your commissions on new vs. renewal?
  • Any commissions on single tickets?
  • Do you have any inbound/outbound crossover? 
  • If you are a presenting theater who has presented or announced Hamilton, did it necessitate any changes to your commissionable sales departments? (i.e. sales restrictions, taking packages off sale early, or commission changes)  
  • Have you made any move to convert your new-to-files to multi-buyers and commissioned those sales (i.e. an "invite back" model over "convert to subscription" model)?
