I am in the process of setting up a triggered welcome email for everyone that signs for each of our Wordfly lists.
I see that our lists live on the constituent's account as Electronic Address Purposes. So, I can add a list criteria of “Electronic Address Purpose is List Name” to my list manager list, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to populate that list with constituents who just signed up for the email club.
Is the best solution to create a suppression list of people who already have that purpose on their account, then create another dynamic list of constituents with that purpose and then rely on Wordfly to only send the email once to that account? Is there a different way of automating this?
If anyone has implemented something similar I would love to know your list manager criteria to accomplish this.

We are doing something like this also. We just started these emails about two months ago and have been trying to figure out the best way to make this all work. We have a multistep/multi-list Welcome cascade that is still getting tweaked. I would also love to hear about how folks are handling this. Currently, we are manually sending a welcome email at the beginning of each month to any new subscribers from the previous month, but we would love to automate this. I am llorenz@fords.org. Thanks!

We are not doing Welcome emails now...and hope to automate them as a triggered tiered form of communication in FY20. Hearing your conversation would be very helpful for me.
I'd also join a call for this. We have nothing active, but I did sketch out most of a plan and have pieces of it approved. All programming of whatever we do will need to rely primarily on native functionality, as those are the resources available to me---no in-house DBA, so the route to success is using existing options.
I'm happy to convene an Open Space about this at TLCC. Would even ID the best time slot now-ish and post it here so people can plan to attend. I'm thinking that if we pre-designate someone as official notetaker, we can probably even make sure the insight gets back to those connecting this year only through the forum here.
If this post can get a few replies or likes, I'll start by setting up a Doodle to see which Open Space slot is the most convenient.
I'm also going to add--since I just started off into the wormhole of the posts tagged related on the right but dragged myself away--the current plan is to feature my New 42 triggered campaign set up as part of the WordFly "MasterClass." We've worked out no particular details about included content for the slides, but heads up for your schedules there.

I too would be up for listening into a call on this - I'll fill in the doodle. We have triggered welcome emails for new accounts but they are general and I'd be very interested in hearing what others are doing.
