Group Sales Representatives - Commission versus Non-Commission

Hello Colleagues.

I'm curious to hear how your group sales operations works in your organisations and I have a few simple questions.

  • Is this commission or non-commissioned based?
  • What's the commission rate if any?
  • Does this apply to inbound and outbound calls? If so, is there a different commission rate for each?
  • How many staff handled this operation?

The reason why I'm asking is that our in-house phone services handles all incoming groups sales calls on a non-commission basis.  My goal is to create a position that will develop a group sales/concierge service program from ground up.  This would entail a lot of outbound calling/emailing/letter writing in generating leads in order to establish a network of partners to reach out to and engage throughout the season. Lot's of relationship building.
