Hey everyone,
We are going to be bringing in-house our management of our program book. I was wondering what those of you who do this have found as good ways to manage this. I was thinking of using Plans as well as either and event or just fees as a way to track the revenue. We could use plans to track all the steps (including storing signed contracts, collateral for ads, etc).
Is anyone currently doing any of this?
- Chris
Christopher,
We do use Plans for this and we process the revenue through Contributions. We have a separate Campaign just for our program ad sponsors. Some of these are trade as well. Plans works beautifully for this.
Hi Chris,
Our consortium's tracking of program ads predates the Plans functionality; we use the ticketing module. I presented on the setup at the 2016 conference in the Creative Uses for Ticketing Quickfire session if that's helpful to look at. We've found zones to be useful in controlling inventory for the ads, i.e. there can only be a limited number of "covers" sold, etc., and editable pricing enables us to track any special discounting vs full price sold. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
Kelly and Terry....I love BOTH your ideas!
