Question for the UK/GDPR folks about Household Permissions and MAIL!

Hey everyone,

We're rolling out Contact permissions and purposes, and we're trying to work out what to do with Households. I understand the GDPR standard is to only record permissions on the IND (so you'd set CONTACT_PERM_ON_IND_ONLY to Yes in T_DEFAULTS)

But how do you handle Mail permissions? Because you can now have the scenario where A1 says Yes to mail, but A2 says No, right? So I'm guessing that you no longer use Replace With Household in your lists and extractions, which means only A1 qualifies, and you end up only mailing the A1, correct?

BUT what if in the same segment you have a situation where both A1 and A2 have said YES to mail? If you're not using Replace with Household, then both A1 and A2 qualify, so you end up posting two copies of something (e.g. Brochure) to the same address, right? Expensive!

I would LOVE to know how you handle this! (apologies if I'm missing something glaringly obvious). We're in Aus so we can actually collect permissions on the Household, but we're trying to stick to GDPR rules if we can.

Thanks muchly!
