For Marketers in the United States - have you found a product to append demographic and psychographic data to your Tess constituents?
Are you storing that data on custom screens at the constituent level?
Thanks for any information you can provide!
Christine
We use a company called Peachtree for demographics and we append the data back to Tessitura as Attributes.

Charles Buchanan do you ever get updates of demographic information for the same client. If so how do you handel the new data? Do you keep the old data in any way?
We override the old data. Some demographics can change such as education level, occupation, presence of children, etc.
Interesting, from a modeling point of view, I've seen some significance in actually tracking these types of change over time. Both in creating more useful models looking at older memberships and subscriptions. And the change of such values as being indicative of a potential change in the relationship with an organization. In particular children, location.
Would love to hear a bit more if you're able to share. Appending info such as this has been on our radar for quite some time - we currently do it on an aggregated basis but not down to the individual constituent level.
- What sort of match rate do you typically get for various attributes? Does the data feel fairly reliable?
- Do you submit/append your entire database, or just a subset of more recent buyers/donors/attendees?
- How often do you typically refresh?
- Are there any security considerations around the appended demographic data? Do only certain user groups have access?
Thanks!
Thanks Charles, Evan, Tom for rolling this conversation along. I'm watching the thread - and will put Peachtree on my research list as well.
