Chartio.

Hello,

Are any other users out there utilizing Chartio?  We're looking into data visualisation services at the moment.  Noticed a lot of posts about Tableau (which we're also looking into) but none about Chartio.  Any advice, recommendations and suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,

JH.

  • Hello Jerry,

You may already be aware that the Tessitura Network will be releasing a powerful BI platform that will include much of the functionality included in Chartio (and much more).  For more information, take a look at this webinar.  I'll also be delivering an update at TLCC 2017 in the "Mini Keynote - The Tessitura BI Initiative" session.  I hope to see you there!  Feel free to contact me if you would like additional info.  jjakovich@tessituranetwork.com.

  • I like Chartio! Really great functionality and easy to learn -- honestly, no better or worse than any of the other BI tools I've used (it's a little less flashy than Tableau and Power Bi, but gets the job done). Another tool I've sampled is Mode, which is great because it's built on SQL, so it's a little bit more intuitive to move your Tess work into it if you're used to playing around in SSMS.

I might look into Sisense if I were you, since that's the tool that the new Tess dashboards will be built on -- wouldn't hurt to get deeply familiar with the platform while you wait for them to roll out functionality in Tess. We haven't switched over to it, but I know they're using Sisense over at Cal Performances, so they would be worth contacting to get feedback.
