Programming: Singalong family films Yay or Nay

Has anyone presented a Singalong Family Film?  We haven't seen much success with family programming, and would love to hear about any experiences the Tessitura community has had specifically with Singalong Films.

Thanks!!!

    Hi Kate,

We have presented two Singalongs in the past - Grease and Sound of Music. Both Singalongs were put on by our Guild volunteer members as a one-time fundraising event for our company. But I add that we were successful at these Singalongs because; one, we're a musical theatre company - that's all we do; and two, also presented the live staged musicals a short time after the singalong events.  So for us they were a "Yay" as they were successful sold-out fundraisers and encouraged patrons to come again to see the live version.

Happy to answer any questions you might have.  :)
