I believe you can create an email ad, and track the rate of order conversions using tools like WordFly, etc.. But I'm just wondering if it's possible to make this conversion link without using providers like WordFly.
So... if I send out 1000 emails, all having an embedded tracking pixel, is there a way of determining which TNEW orders originated from viewing one of these email ads, and which orders were created without viewing the ad? In other words... a link from an email ad to a TNEW order?
And how does this compare to simply embedding a Tessitura source code in a link/graphic as far as tracking something through to conversion?

I believe the conversion tracking still uses source codes embedded in the links.
The only thing you gain from the embedded pixel is understanding how many people open/view the email.
The other tracking is by converting the raw links in the email to go through a a service that then records which links on the email an individual clicked.
So you get a funnel of how your email did ie Number sent > number opened > number clicked links > number of orders placed
Your web site plays a factor in customer conversion which is why you want the other measures so you can more easily measure the impact of different subject lines, placement and content of text and images etc as this has more impact in getting people to the site rather than necessarily converting them to buyers.
ie Subject lines is more likely to impact the number of opens/views, text and image placement and content may increase number of links clicked.

Makes sense. Thanks Mark!
