We are working out our process for getting a mailing list from a Tessitura list of organizations. Each org may have one or more primary contact affiliates whose names we want to include on the mailing.
What we've figured out so far is that we can choose the group's address on the affiliation record, and use an extraction segment's advanced relationship options to replace groups with "Primary Contact" affiliations when they exist. The records output will be the individuals', but the address fields will be from the org.
The issue is that we want to include the organization name. I was thinking about doing this with a preferred salutation for the affiliation, but then a new sal would need to be added to all the individuals' records, and wouldn't really work if an individual was the primary contact for more than one organization.
I was about to go to the last resort of using custom output set elements to get salutation fields for affiliated individuals, but then I realized there was one more option of storing the organization name in one of the street fields for the organization's own address.
Are there any other solutions to this problem?
