Hello fellow arts marketers,
We've been using Google Grants to target branded keywords like our organization name and venue names, as well as informational queries like venue parking questions, giving opportunities, etc. We've hesitated to directly promote ticket sales for shows with for-profit partners like touring Broadway and musical acts due to this Google Grants policy: https://support.google.com/grants/answer/4410314?hl=en&ref_topic=3500093
The policy states "If you intend to promote products or services, the sales and/or proceeds must directly support the nonprofit." I've heard horror stories of Google Grants accounts getting revoked, so I wanted to survey the community to find out how everyone else is using Google Grants. Are any presenting organizations promoting shows that have for-profit entities involved on Google Grants? Has anyone received a warning or had their Google Grants account revoked due to policy violations? Any insights are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
