Ticket Envelopes

Hi, we're looking for envelopes for ticket orders that will be mailed to patrons.  The envelopes will be regular business size #10 window, but we were hoping to find envelopes that had a inner sleeve so that a ticket that prints with the name and address could be inserted, saving time for the box office staff of writing out the address, and making it a bit cleaner as it is printed instead of written.  Our tickets are 5.5 inches wide by 2 inches high.

Anyone know of a common name for these envelopes and where they can be purchased?

Thanks!

  • Hi Gabriel

I would definitely recommend doing this as it's so time saving.

We fix our tickets (attached to a name and address header) into a ticket backer, and then use either a DL or C5 envelope. The backer is flexible so will fit both - I've attached a PDF of the design (and added it to my profile) that should hopefully give you more of an idea of what I mean. It has a line that can be folded just underneath the orchestra logos that allows it to fit.

    Good luck in your hunt!

We have these envelopes but they don’t fit the whole ticket exactly.  They require the CSRs to fold the stub over and it is actually nice because it creates pressure so the ticket doesn’t move around.  It is just a regular windowed envelope with extra plastic that is glued on 3 sides with the top open.  Here are the specs we use. (We use a local printer so I don’t think that will do you much good but maybe this will help you out..)

    #10 ENVELOPE

    OPEN SIDE/SIDE SEAM

    24# WHITE WOVE STOCK

    WINDOW-  1 X 3   LEFT-  3-3/4   BOTTOM-  1-1/2

POLY PATCH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE WINDOW

    HTH!

  • Hi Gabriel,

We purchase our mailing envelopes through Ticket Envelope Company in Seattle, WA.  We use a #10 envelope with a window and a cellophane pocket to slip the header ticket into.  I've attached their contact info.  Feel free to contact me if you need other info.
