Can you believe TLCC2016 is only 66 days away from today? It feels like yesterday we were saying our "see you laters" at last year's "summer camp to beat all summer camps".
My name is Christopher Cuhel and I'm the Guru for the Managing Discounts discussion on Monday of conference at 3:30. Skypp Cabanas is your moderator for this session and Krys Freeman is your Network staff moderator. We want this session to be a great discussion so we need your help.
We are soliciting ideas for topics to discuss during our session. After our introductions, we want to be able to dive right in to the discussion. This is where you come in! Please respond to this post with your questions, ideas, thoughts, comments, - essentially anything on your mind about managing discounts! You can also go to this session in the TLCC portal (https://tlcc2016.tessituranetwork.com/), add it to your schedule, and click "message meeting" to submit your comments. Once we have a good compilation of ideas, we will create a poll to pick the top 4 or 5 things to discuss. So put on your thinking caps and don't be afraid to submit your ideas for those burning questions you have about managing discounts in Tessitura. Remember, this is your conference so come get involved and be ready to have a great time.

OK, you asked for some questions:
I would like a report or tstat that tells us what discounts are open at any given time. What are all the open promo codes? What are the open price types being used on current shows on sale? If we want to open up a price type on the web, is that going to open something up for another show that we don't want on the web? It's often difficult to figure this out, until after the fact. What is the benefit of using the "discount" section of Tess vs. just adding more price types to an event to manage dynamic pricing? Is one easier than another when using pricing rules?
