Shared Emails, extractions and finding duplicates

I run into a couple of issues with email addresses living on both the Household account and an individual affiliate account.

The way our website was built, all transactions have to happen on the Households, so logins also have to live on the Household along with the email addresses associated with them. If we know which affiliate an email address belongs to it will also be added to the individual affiliate account, but sometimes we don't know, so the email address lives only on the Household. Therefore, when I am extracting data for e-blasts I have to include both the Household and the affiliate accounts to be sure I am getting all of the email addresses.

We could have individual affiliates of a household with different attributes or constituencies on their accounts (year of birth for instance), but which are not reflected on the Household. So, say I have two lists for two different e-blasts based on an attribute value. The Household could end up in one list (it doesn't have the attribute), while an affiliate of that household could end up in the other list because they do have it. Tessitura sees them as separate accounts, which they are, but they share the same email address!  Currently I have no way to find those within Tessitura. I have to import both lists into Mail2 and use that search function to find duplicates to make sure they only get the most appropriate version of the email and not both.

This means that I can't accurately promote my sources in Tessitura until after the e-blast has been deployed. Then I can import my list of delivered emails from Mail2 back into Tessitura and promote it, but Mail2 won't be able to write back to that promotion.

We haven't upgraded to version12 yet. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?

    Hi Maurya,

We also keep the transactions on the household account. However all logins and emails are on the individual account. I think this is what you need to do to get it all working otherwise you won’t know which individual has which address.
