Formal Addresses

Hey all!

I'm looking for some help in addressing mailings to some of our more formal events such as our annual gala. Our development team would prefer that these kinds of invitations be addressed more formally (spelling out Avenue, Road, North etc.) though the post office prefers the appropriate abbreviations.

We're due for an NCOA scrub of our data, which to my understanding, would adjust these address to the best practice abbreviated versions.

For your formal events, do you spell out these words or use the preferred abbreviations? Would it be worth adding a secondary "formal" address to these accounts? Any other suggestions?
