A question regarding Quick Sale MOS

One hour prior to a performance, our Box Office sells specially priced seats for student rush and marketing vouchers.
These seats have special pricing, specific price zones, and the patron cannot choose the seats (only best available).

Walk-ups sales also start one hour prior to a performance, and walk-ups can select any seat, and pay normal price for the seat.

These three ticket sales (student rush, voucher, walk-up) are completed using a Quick Sale MOS, allowing the Box Office agent to quickly complete the ticketing transaction.
However, no patron data is obtain during the process.

Our Marketing director would like patron info for student rush and voucher ticket sales (for now he doesn't care about walk-ups).

We have some early ideas how to obtain this patron data.
For example, we ask students and voucher holders to manually complete a form (in the lobby) prior to having the Box Office begin the ticket transaction.
The Box Office completes the ticket transaction using a generic account for student rush or marketing voucher.
Then, after the ticket transaction is completed (probably the following day), create a patron account (if required) and other changes.

Our Marketing director believes there are other organizations with similar challenges, and wonders:

How do you capture patron data when using Quick Sale?
