Silly question here ... our Opera partner is presenting L'Italiana in Algeri this season and we are debating whether or not to include an age appropriate disclaimer on the event.
In the past we have received complaints for events like West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Avenue Q, and Whose Live Anyway?
We have already added disclaimers to the Opera's presentation of A Streetcar Named Desire this season as that definitely has mature themes but we're not familiar with L'Italiana and were hoping someone else has presented this piece and might have some advice.
Looking online we have found very little surrounding this production, except that it is listed as one of the top 10 sexiest operas at Opera Pulse.
If all else fails we may use some very generic language, "Not all productions may appeal to or be appropriate for every person or for all ages."
