One of our groups was testing possible configurations for an upcoming event, and created a "performance".The entire hierarchy was created: Title, Production, Production Season, and Performance.
We now want to delete the performance, but can't.We also want to delete the upstream items (production season, production, and title).
All possible structural items for the performance (MOS, content, keywords) were deleted, but the pricing cannot be deleted. When attempting to delete the pricing layer, we're advised at least one base price must exist. Can the existing pricing layer be deleted? Must the pricing layer be deleted before attempting to delete the performance?
When we attempt to delete the current (and bad) performance, the following message appears:Cannot roll back DeletePerformance. No transaction or savepoint of that name was found. Other "test" performances were created (and the performances included a pricing layer), and these performances were deleted without any problem. No error messages appeared when deleting these performances. We've searched the Help system and Forums, but couldn't find any obvious help.I suspect something obvious is being overlooked. What are we doing wrong? ThanksWendell BaskinBass Hall - Fort Worth

Did any tickets get “sold” to this event in testing? If so, then you wouldn’t be able to delete the event because of that.

No … no tickets were sold.
However, during testing, they went through most of the purchase process but never completed the purchase.
It’s possible some transactions were created, but if the order was never completed would Tessitura roll back those transactions?

That depends. If a comp was sold and “printed”, that would count as a completed sale. In my experience, you can only return a ticket at that point. That should remove the transaction, but you’d have to test. Is the seat map clean when you go to product cataloge?

Thank you, Chris

Yes … the seat map is totally clear.
No tickets, of any type, were issued for this performance.

Hi Wendell,
If this dummy performance has its own season (or can be moved to one), in TR_SEASON you can then control group using a System Admin grouping, allocate start/end dates before the first ever season in the table and inactivate it.
Cheers,
Kevin
Wendell,
If the performance is clean, and no tickets have been 'sold' then you can delete the performance in Performances and then move your way back to Title.
You shouldn't have to delete the MOS, pricing etc, from the performance before you delete the actual performance.
Michele
Hi all,
I am currently experiencing this issue with not being able to delete a performance that was built for testing and has no transactions. Sometimes the "This performance cannot be deleted because tickets have been sold" message shows, but it's definitely incorrect. Sometimes the error message does not show, but I am unable to delete the performance.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
