Global changes to the e-marketing field in general tab

Hello,

Is there a way to populate global changes to the e-marketing field throughout all the constituents in the database? I want to re-set all the constituent e-marketing fields in the general tab to "no marketing/soliciting" without having to go through every constituent one by one.

Can this be done?

Much obliged,

Tonya

  • I have never used SQL scripts before, so I don’t know if I have the access or capability. Could you tell me more?

    Thanks for replying!

    Hi Tonya

That would be a fairly simple update script in SQL, if you have that capability, but I don't think it's possible in the front end.

    Hi Tonya

If you don't know, then you don't have the access or capability, sadly. That's more of an IT thing - I see that yours is a pretty small org, without internal IT support, so your best option for this sort of thing is to get either your external IT support folks involved, or your Tessitura Network consultant. You certainly can get a lot more value out of Tess if you have access to someone who can do some simple SQL scripting, but it's also kind of dangerous - you can easily break things if you don't know what you're doing.

.. or maybe you should take your helpful neighbour Beth Hawryluk to lunch, and she could tell you how they go about this sort of stuff at the Symphony :-).
