Hi all
I am trying to obtain as much info as possible about first time bookers to our venue. Via Tessitura (version 11), I have created a number of lists to find out how many orders come through from first time bookers using the following criteria:
Ticket - Production | In | Name of showTicket - First Time Buyer | In | yes
This is great as, combined with info from T Stats regarding the number of orders, I am able to work out what percentage of new orders are from first time bookers. The problem is, I want to dig a little deeper. I want to know the percentage in terms of number of tickets sold. We may have got a 30% First time buyer percentage on the previous calculation but it might be completely different when you take into account number of tickets sold instead as new bookers may come (on average) in small groups than people who have been before.
I can't seem to be able to pull off this information via Tessitura or T-Stats (version 2.0.4201.0).
We'd also love to know how many people are coming to another show after their first booking and what they come to and I can't see any way of doing this without creating a HUGE number of complicated extractions/list - which just isn't feasible given how long it would take!
Am I missing an easy way of finding this information out? Is this incorporated into later versions of either Tessitura or T Stats?
I hope someone can help.
Thanks
Emma
Hi Emma,
Are you running your T-Stats report(s) filtered on a list?
Bypassing report customisation, you can copy and save a T-Stats report, filter the new report by using a Tessitura list (make sure there is no control grouping applied and the T-Stats option is ticked on this list) and extract both into a spreadsheet and apply additional calculations if necessary. In the menu bar in T-Stats, there is a button called "List-based Filter" which is how you apply this list.
To see what these first-timers have attended since their first performance, use the T-Stats attributes of your liking like performances or productions and, again, apply your Tessitura list as a filter.
Cheers,
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for this information it's really helpful and such an obvious answer but having never used a list in T-Stats it just didn't occur to me!
I have now made my lists available to T-Stats and pulled them through and, ta-da, I can get the information I want.
Thanks again
