I'm cross-posting this in the Tessitura Technical forum. Has anyone whose organization uses Financial Edge managed to discover any sort of directory/mapping of the table structure? I'm trying to take our Human Resource procedure that traditionally uses a script on our old Unix box for formatting new hire data for sending to the appropriate state agencies and simply have a report in Reporting Services that will spit out the appropriate people's information in the required format. Not only would this save a lot of time for our HR person, but also help us get rid of that old box that plays havoc with our network traffic every odd time we connect to it for that one legacy application.
I can connect easily to Financial Edge in both SQL Management and Visual Studio for the reporting, but the table names are even less intuitive than Tessitura's, so it's a bit of a nightmare feeling my way around. A search on the web produced next to nothing for me so far.
Any help from Financial Edge back end tinkerers would be very appreciated.
Thanks, Tessiturians.
Did you ever hear from anyone on this topic?
