We've recently switched to Windcave for both our Payment Gateway and Merchant Services. We're currently on sale for our Literature Festival and Windcave are insisting on keeping back an extremely high amount in reserve until after the festival, apparently in case of "chargebacks".
Has anyone else experienced this with Windcave or other merchant services? Mastercard used to hold a certain amount now and then for extra security checks, but only for a few days if I remember correctly.....however this was pre-March 2020!
Also we've had a few complaints about the new 3D Secure V2, does anyone know if it's just the customer's banks just being stricter with their checks?
