Our Finance Department is going to be switching from Financial Edge to Oracle NetSuite and I was curious if there are any member organizations that are using Oracle NetSuite? I'm mainly curious in knowing how you import the financial information from Tessitura into NetSuite and any other insightz or thoughts you might have regarding Tessitura and Oracle NetSuite.
We are currently using Financial Edge also and considering a change. Currently we are looking into Accounting Ware. The information from Tessitura imports automatically into this accounting software. From what I understand this is the only software out there that is a true integration with Tessitura. With Financial Edge we import from a CSV file we extract from Tessitura.
Sandra is correct that Accounting Ware (formerly nQativ) is the only officially integrated partner we have for accounting software. And we do have some standard export files which can be massaged to fit almost any financial software either yourself if you are handy, or by reaching out to our Professional Services team who has done a lot of these over the years.https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System/Tessitura.htm#Batch%20Administration/Posting%20File%20Export%20for%203rd.htm
I do believe there's at least a handful of organizations that use NetSuite currently.
Good luck!
Heather
Hi Joseph - Did you end up choosing a new financial system? We're looking at updating ours for AP/AR/GL. NetSuite came up on our radar but not sure about the cost. We're also looking at Sage Intacct, Accounting Ware, and Workday. Moving from Microsoft Dynamics SL (implemented back in the late 90s!!).
Following this conversation. April - we are also looking to migrate away from Solomon, so I'd be interested in knowing more about your research and the direction you're leaning...
We are in the process of implementing Oracle and would be very interested in discussing the interface with Tess.
I'll keep the group updated. We've officially reached out to AccountingWare, Sage Intacct, and Workday. Workday declined to move further since we're smaller than their usual client (determined by # of employees - they work with companies with 250+). We have demos scheduled for the other 2 and hope to make a decision at the end of the calendar year.
@April Ward we use Sage Intacct and I would be happy to discuss with you our experience. Overall it is a great solution. It does have strengths and weaknesses that could make a difference depending on what your specific needs are.
@Kelly Corley we are in the process of making our final software selection and Sage Intacct is in the lead. I would certainly appreciate it, if you have availability in the next few weeks, to discuss your Sage Intacct experience as well as the strengths and weaknesses you have experienced.
Sure thing! Email me at kcorley@thelongcenter.org and we can arrange a time to chat.
