Has anyone been through the process of a complete GL/COA change, necessitating you to replace all or some of your GL codes? If so, I'd really love to hear how you went about it.

Hi! I have been through the aftermath of one done poorly - when I started with MOT, they had switched over about nine months prior but money was still often being misdirected to old accounts and no one was really sure why. Derrek's explanation is exactly how I would want to handle things if I had been there. The biggest problems we had were that no one updated the accounts tied to old funds, so pledge payments got directed to the wrong place. You honestly cannot test too much to be sure that you've gotten every place money might move.
Totally agree Maery Simmons (Past Member) about testing! It is hard for anyone, including Tessitura, to think of exactly all the places that things need updating because we all have slightly different updates...so test test test and try and think of all the weird scenarios to make sure they will work out right.
