when identifying variances between bank deposit listed in the merchant service web and Tess posting reports what is the best way to search for those transaction in Tess. using the last 4 of the cc from merchant services results in numerous names. We have also tries using the EPS transaction summary report. Any other ideas to search for a transaction using last 4 of credit card, amount etc which is the only info in the merchant services site?

Hi Marco, if you have the auth code form the the Payment Gateway you can look up the payment that way. I wrote a little report for our accountant who plugs in the Auth Code form Payment express and it tells her ... Thanks Heath, we use the invoice number in the Tessitura EPS transaction report to find the transactions. We do have the Auth Code, where do you plug the number in Tessitura? We are trying to use the search mode in Tess but I do not see any option for Auth code or anything other than name, cc #, Customer ID, address etc...
It's in T_PAYMENT in the database or in Tessitura it's in CONSTITUENTS>TRANSACTIONS>PAYMENTS
To search for it you'll need something like the little report I wrote - happy to share and easy to install if you have access to SSRS/SSMS
