Changing GL's

We are considering changing our GL template from ##-###-####-!!!!!!!! to #-##-####-######-####-!!!!!!!! We are doing this to match our accounting software Financial Edge NXT and so that we can do better tracking of our performance costs across multiple systems, I was hoping you can tell me what things we might want to consider, what concerns you might have, what would be the ramifications doing it mid-season? I what ever you can tell me would be helpful. Thanks, Jason

Jason, I guess my biggest consideration in such a change will be making sure that your Finance Department is prepared to handle half of the season's accounting data being in one GL template format and half of the season being in a different format. How long is remaining in the current season? Would it be at all feasible to postpone the change until the end of the season so that all of the accounting data for your current season can be in one format and then the change will coincide with a new season's worth of data? I'm sure you've already answered those specific questions on your end--which is why you're considering this change mid-season--but those would be my primary concerns. Thank you, Brian
