Credit Card Security - do not save

Hi,

I was asked by a customer who called to make a donation that we NOT keep his credit card information on file. As a system administrator I can go in and delete the card after the transaction has been run.. But I am wondering if there is a way to flag records so that credit card info automatically NEVER gets saved?

Many thanks for your input.

  • From a user perspective, the only thing I can think of is going into the payment screen and clicking the inactive box. There may be an option in T_DEFAULTS that allows you to now save a credit card number. Concurrently, once V12.5 comes around, credit card numbers will be tokenized if you use Element as your payment processor.
