Does Tessitura batch closing impact CC settlement?

Hi, quick question.

After authorizing a card for a payment in Tessitura (and saving the order), is there anything else in the application that sends additional instructions to the payment gateway? Like, closing the batch for example? Does this work differently for controlled/non-controlled batches?

We are on Element, and in particular I'm asking about non-controlled ticketing batches, but it would be good to know either way.

Thanks!

It's my understanding that once an auth is received, Tessitura never hears from the PGS again about that transaction. I've sometimes wished there was a followup update of some sort, e.g. I think back to when payments sometimes appeared complete in Tess but had actually not been settled for an extra day in Transcend for obscure reasons; or (more recently) when the client sometimes crashed after getting an auth, resulting in a double charge when the user logged back in and saw no payment; or the like.
