We are just starting implementation/configuration, and I am looking for some insight from the Tessitura community as to the advantages or disadvantages of setting up the general GL's vs. detailed GL's such as SUB/Single/etc.
My concern is that just because we have not done it this way, may not mean that it is the best way for us to configure this system. In fact, this may give us a level of detail that might help us in analysis later.
Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks,Lisa
I concur with Margaret’s assessment and it is what we have done at SCR, too. I find it much easier to reconcile GL with Tessitura detail because of this set-up.

I have found that setting up the more detailed GL's is great for keeping everyone on the same page and makes reconciliation much easier at the end of a performance, month and year. The general GL's are easy to use but the detail that one can get out of Tessitura with detailed GL's is great. It makes Tessitura act, in a way, like a sub-ledger.
