Conference Panelist for International Perspective on Donations

My team is struggling to find someone from the United States that would be able to present on this panel.  We are looking for a person with deep technical knowledge in Development and Finance.

The description is below.  If you or someone you know might be interetested in presenting at the Tessitura conference on this panel, please contact me at jeremiah.marks@seattleopera.org

International Perspective on Donations

Tessitura is a database that is used all across the world as the membership continues to grow.  Have you ever wondered how this multinational group deals with receipting and accounting for their contributions using the same software?  Benefit from our international group of panellists and see how they use Tessitura, whether it's straight out the box or customized, in dealing with different transactions while meeting the needs of their respective governments and tax laws.

TLCC Panellists

·         Role: Panel Discussions typically include 3 user panellists with different perspectives on a topic. A strong moderator with subject matter expertise, generally a Network staff member, guides the open discussion portion.

·         Session format: Sessions are 75 minutes in length. Panellists each speak for 3-5 minutes, and may or may not use PowerPoint. The open discussion portion is longer than in a Peer-to-Peer session and includes discussion amongst the panellists as well as with the audience attendees. A Panel Discussion is a hybrid between a P2P and a Discussion.

·         Preparation: Content planner(s), panellists, and moderators meet 2-3 months before the Conference to plan the session and create an outline or planning document. They also brainstorm seed topics and ideas to get attendees participating. Content planner(s) may hold a rehearsal or run-through a few weeks before the Conference.

·         A good Panellist:

·         Is knowledgeable about the subject matter

·         Has something special to present - a project, an angle, a unique situation, maybe a twist

·         Is able to articulate their message clearly and efficiently to the audience

·         Is a good public speaker, as well as a great listener

·         Is quick on their feet

·         Can engage diverse attendees in discussion

·         Is responsible, and committed to completing work on schedule

·         Has the time to meet, prepare their presentation, and practice before the Conference

·         Is willing to collaborate with the other panellists, content planner(s), and moderator during the planning process
