This is directed to any organization currently using Blackbaud/Financial Edge as their accounting software. I am looking to speak to those of you who have written and implemented a stored procedure, to post the daily transactions (that were batched and posted in Tessitura) to the general ledger. Currently I use the "Transaction by Posting Report" from Tessitura and in excel manipulate the data so it maps correctly when I post to FE as a journal entry.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to hearing the feedback.

Hello Sandy,
We at Strathmore use Blackbaud Financial Edge for our accounting and we export monthly from Tessitura. I took the stored procedure that was used for the GL Summary Report (RP_GL_SUMMARY_REPORT) and modified the stored procedure so that it would pull the information from Tessitura based on batch type used for development, ticket office, or web purchases. I also pull all GL transactions for the same time period to use as a sanity check. If the development totals + ticket office totals + web totals = all GL totals, there are no problems with the data. The ticket office needs keep the posting of the web sales separate from the ticket office sales when they post or print tickets. The sanity checks is used to make sure that none of the transactions are included in the incorrect postings. I would be glad to go over it with you. I am working on a more complete solution so that it can be converted into a scheduled report.
Thanks,
Allen Clark

We post these manually for now, although I would like to eventually move it to an automated procedure.
I think that the Houston Grand Opera has a procedure to do all of this automatically. You might want to contact them to ask for their script.
