Hi everyone,
I am with the Houston Ballet Academy and we are working to get out registration online. We still have a few more hurdles to clear, but we are looking to launch it in June '13.
I wanted to see who here had their registration online, and how is still using paper or google doc methods... also any tips or advice would be great as well.
Thanks,
Patrick
Hi Patrick –
We have our Academy registration online live in Tessitura and it works great. I’m happy to discuss methodology/best practices off-list – feel free to shoot me an email! You might also try scrolling back on the Education forum as this topic comes up quite a bit.
Additionally, we had a great discussion at TLCC2012 about online education. The notes from that discussion can be found here: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Community/forums/t/7876.aspx.
Good luck!

Hey Patrick,
Thanks for the reply. I was in that discussion, and it was great. I took a lot away from it. Right now we are in the process of putting together a presentation for our senior staff to get TNEW approved so we can put our registration online. I am just trying to find any useful information to put on this report. I will go back through the notes from that discussion to see if I missed anything.

First Stage uses a custom web path developed by an external vendor – but I know that many other organizations use TNEW for class registrations with great success. Karyn Elliott, who is on the TNEW team, formerly worked at First Stage and is a great resource, too!
At ACMI, we are currently selling exhibition tickets to our education customers through TNEW.

We use the promo code embedded in the link to make available special Education price types, as well as the education allocation and lack of fees.
We use the form component of the Aux seat selection screen to capture information about the school, teacher, contact phone number into a CSI.
Hi Everyone,
We have class registrations available on the web and so far it has been a success! I do have a concern related to student names being attached to an order in the special request section. For some reason this functionality was once working and now it is not. I would like to get this back up and running so the registrar can have an accurate count of students on their rosters. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know. Thanks!
