I am with the Houston Ballet academy, and we are hoping to begin to implement TNEW within the next year. I wanted to know if any of you are able to track the attendance of your students through Tessitura? Is there a place that can collect this data?
Our teachers and registrar take roll on paper, but after that it never gets put into the computer. IS there an easy way through TNEW that we can track this?
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks
Hi Patrick,
Tracking attendance is not something you would do through TNEW, it’s something you would do in the application.
Assuming you are using performances for class registrations, you can use the Record Attendance function (located on the Season Manager menu) to enter the ticket numbers for those students who attend, and you don’t actually have to print physical tickets to do this. You can look up the ticket number for students by loading their orders and then looking at the Order History. But if you want to be more efficient about it you can print attendance lists (i.e. seating books) for the class performances with the ticket numbers barcoded beside the student’s names; the teachers can then check off who attended and then later you can go back and scan in those people. Here’s another forum thread about doing just that where you can find some suggestions on how to do it: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Community/forums/t/7898.aspx
