Tips on managing age restrictions on online events

Hi all,

We recently ran a series of free online workshops for 13-20 year olds to support their study for art exams. We set up a custom form so they could indicate if they were under 18 and give a parent's email address to also send information to. This worked well.

One thing that happened which we didn't expect is that despite it being clearly specified as for students studying for GCSE/A Level/BTEC/Foundation a large number of teachers signed up too (therefore taking places from students). Has anyone else experienced similar or found any ways to successfully get people to only book for events they are eligible to attend?

We will be setting up other online events for young people soon and will be definitely making the age wording stronger, but if any tips from the community would be great!

Many thanks

Emma
