Hello All. I am looking for advice on how to track programs by school and individual in TNEW. In the past, a coordinator via phone did our outreach and orders entered on school records. Now, we are trying to use TNEW for virtual programs at the classroom level. How do I link individuals that log in for programs to the school? Is there a way for an individual to log in but still link that to the school in TNEW without customization? Our evaluation team would also like individuals to sign in and purchase so they can automate surveys after registration. The problem is the shift from how we tracked data by school in the past and we want to keep consistent with that. Any ideals would be appreciated.
Hi Michelle! TNEW always sells to Individuals or Households. There is no way to link the sale to an Organization with standard features, but you could use form fields to allow or require teachers to indicate their school with a dropdown list or type-in field, and update their constituent records and orders manually after they are submitted. Ideally, you should connect the Individual to their employer Organization with an affiliation, and set the Organization as the owner of the order and the Individual as the initiator. These would create the best reporting and list criteria options down the road for your survey emails and other needs.
