Hello - I'm wondering if anyone has experience with using Tessitura to track Teaching Artist work/payroll. Given the unique structure of their pay rates (neither hourly nor salary), TAs cannot be enrolled in the company-wide payroll program (ADP), so we are interested to find the most efficient way to track their work/payment; currently, we use Commence. While this has been working fine for us, we are beginning to transfer all of our Ed programs into Tessitura, with the idea of streamlining our processes and having everything in one place instead of multiple. Ideally, we would love to integrate the tracking of TA work into Tessitura - the "booking" feature in v14 seems like one way to accomplish this goal, or at least partly. Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
We add Teachers as "Artists" to the classes (performances) they teach, so we are able to track how many sessions they've taught fairly easily. We use this primarily to track their seniority in pay, as they get pay increases based on the number of classes taught (ie. if they teach more than 5 classes they get an increase, then after 10 they get another increase, etc). Resource scheduling likely has some options too!
