Are there any schools out there who are currently using some kind of private access ““ Parent Portal” ? I’m looking for some ideas that might work within the current framework of Tessitura (Version 14.1 soon to be 15) / TNEW ( Version 6) or some other external application that works alongside Tessitura in some away for this purpose.
Much like other public,private and post secondary institutions, the capacity of this portal would be for parents ( and teachers! ) to be able to log in and access:
The point being that we make email, snail mail, and drop box a thing of the past for the exchange of these kinds of documents.
Any ideas?

I've been experimenting with this recently as we bring more and more Education functions on to Tessitura. With the new REST API, which is production ready from V14 onwards, it is possible to integrate Tessitura directly with other services. I've just released the first phase of this with our application portal for Instrumental Fellowships: https://www.philharmonia.co.uk/instrumental_fellowship_applications
This portal is Tessitura integrated with logins, contact permissions, interest and address all saved into Tessitura and the application being saved on a separate database storing an encrypted constituent ID that only the portal can de-crypt to add additional security. The interface reads and writes from Tessitura and the custom system I've built.

Once this portal has run it's course, closing in Feb 2019 I will be reviewing how it worked and building upon the idea for teacher and parent resources.
As the REST API expands to enable full Tessitura functionality outside of the Tessitura application there will be even more possible options.
