Hello,
We are trying to streamline our student concert orders. Currently we have an order form on our site that gets delivered to our Education mailbox and one of our reps then manually enters the order into Tessitura and sends an invoice. If anyone has refined a way (aka procedure) to take information from an external order form and import the orders into Tessitura, I would be most appreciative of any guidance!
I don't know of a program that could create an actual order. You may try the Allocations method to off load this task to the groups.
Create a unique MOS for the group.
Create a unique Allocation
Create a unique Promo Code tied to the above.
You share the promo code with the group leader. They purchase the tickets or they share the promo code to there group to self select.
I tried creating one MOS tied to unique Allocations but it didn't work.
Hope this helps.

Hi Karen
There is an Order Import Utility provided with Tess.
If you can manipulate the data entered into your online form into the format expected by the Tess order import, you could certainly use that. It's fairly prescriptive, and getting the process configured properly and working smoothly is probably not for the faint-hearted, but there is reasonable documentation in the help files. Just search on "Order import utility".

Thanks Ken. That is pretty much what we thought of doing (great minds and all that!) having just worked with the Order Import utility for another project. Thanks for the second opinion.
Thanks Stephen - our challenge is the ticket limit since many of our schools bring 50 or 100 kids and I can't see a way to circumvent it since it's site wide. Might work for some of the home school and Montessori classes though.
Thanks!
