Hello everyone,
We are in the process of integrating education into tess, but in the meantime, I need some help with scheduling my TA appointments, which are one classrom period long, and so they have many of them. Do any of you use a third party software for TA scheduling, especially one that might integrate with Tess? I am looking at Front Desk HQ and Aquity software right now and like them. Currently, we use google spreadsheets and email, and it's just so cumbersome. Thank you!

Hi Adrienne,
Not sure if this what you're after, but Marty Jones of the Tessitura Network built a heavily customized volunteer management for Guthrie Theater. This customization allows the volunteer to manage their schedule.
a. They can sign up for shifts and cancel a shift.
b. Only shifts that they are trained for are displayed
c. It also prevents them from signing up for a shift where the shift time conflicts with another shift that they are already signed up for.
He also mentioned that he has been told that Alliance Theatre does volunteer management out of the box using a special mode of sale for the volunteers. The shifts are set up as zones and include a zone for wait list in case the main zone is full.
We have only three workshop educators and only two or three workshops a day, so we use our Outlook calendar to schedule them, which works well for us.
Hope you had a lovely Christmas break!
Hannah
The work being done as part of the Education/Outreach Scheduling Roadmap item will likely help address some of this. The goal is to help solve some of these very problems. Stay tuned!

Monika
Hi Monika –
I highly recommend checking out the recording of the Technology Keynote from TLCC 2016, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjKfd_DJHZQ
Information about the work being done for v14 with regards to resource scheduling is right at the beginning of the keynote.
If you’d like to learn more about the Roadmap itself, that information can be found at http://www.tessituranetwork.com/network/Products/New%20Technology%20Initiative/Roadmap%20and%20FAQ.aspx.

Hi Bryan!
The resource scheduling piece is scheduled to be released with version 14 of Tessitura. The best way to keep apprised of new developments in Tessitura software is by visiting the Technology Roadmap section of the website (http://www.tessituranetwork.com/network/Products/New%20Technology%20Initiative.aspx) or subscribing to the Technology Roadmap forum (http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Community/forums/78.aspx).
Thanks,
Right now, we anticipate that the general release of version 14 will take place in Q2 of 2017. More details will be available as the release date is firmed up.
Questions about the v14 beta can be directed to roadmap@tessituranetwork.com.
Thanks!
