You are invited to an Un-Conference:
OUR THEME – MANAGING EDUCATION PROGRAMS THROUGH TESSITURA
Educations is an important part of our organization’s mission. As our organizations use Tessitura to Support Educational Relationships and events. We the educational leadership and staff maintain thousands, tens of thousands, or even millions of relationships with Students, Teachers, educational organizations around our communities and the world. However, our needs are often different from those of the organizations we work in. How can we leverage Tessitura and related tools to make our lives easier and more effective? As the Tessitura technology develops and provides a richer feature set, how do we adapt our systems and organizational practices to use these new features? Finally how can we work together, across organizational boundaries, to move all of our organizations toward better delivery of our educational missions?
This ½ day un-conference may not be for everybody, especially those who expect, or require, a tightly structured, carefully controlled event. During our gathering we will enter into Open Space, without a prepared agenda or clear-cut knowledge as to where we will end up. We only know the theme, who is coming, and what they are interested in. Be prepared to be surprised, and to learn.
Please RSVP https://nyctug-education-unconference.eventbrite.com
Doors open at 8:45am.
Please share this invitation with your co-workers and colleagues from other organizations that use Tessitura to support their educational mission.

Hi Tom,
Do you think that after your unconference someone could blog about what you covered for those of us not in and around NYC? It sounds as thoughthere was a lot of interest.
Thanks,
Susan
Education folks may also find page 3 of this document to be of intrest as well
http://www.tessituranetwork.com/iCal_files/TLCC/TLCC2014/TLCC2014%20Sessions%20by%20Interest%20Area.pdf
I will likely not know anything more about the wait list until late this week or next week.
Perhaps this should be moved to a larger forum. How about getting Tessitura to dedicate a session at the conference for this? A lot of us outside NYC would be interested.

Randall,
Thanks for your interest in this event. I’m hoping that those who are able to gather here in NYC will agree to help to put together a proceedings of the event. If this is done I hope we will be able to post the resulting document on TessituraNetwork.com hopefully providing a taste of the discussions here.
At TLCC 2015 there will be a whole track of 11 or more sessions on Education.

In a few days there will be even more information that should be available.
We are also planning an unconference style event on Monday Evening at TLCC 2015 for this type of open forum discussion between peers. I hope that folks with education discussions will join us for that event as well.

Hi Randall, Tom, and all – on behalf of the Education planning team for TLCC I am so encouraged to see that there is so much interest in EDU topics, both regionally and at the conference! Definitely take a look at the Conference schedule… our team has been working hard to plan sessions from beginner to advanced.
Best of luck with the NYC event – I look forward to hearing more of this conversation in Orlando!

I’m hoping that the folks gathered here in June will agree to create a conference proceedings. If we do and it is OK with the participants, I’d like to have us share it with the entire Tessitura community. More as the event unfolds.

Randell,
At this years Tessitura Conference TLCC 2016 we will once again have the opportunities to create up to 160 open space sessions. I hope that folks will bring lots of educational topics to the Open Spaces at this years conference.
Susan,
We did end up creating a "Proceedings for the Education Unconference" last year". In looking at this post just now. I realized that we did not publish the proceedings here on TessituraNetwork.com. I've taken care of that oversite on my part. Please find the proceedings from last years Education Unconfrence here.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at TLCC 2016 in particular to help up open an even wider space for conversation and learning at part of this years open space.
Thank you, Tom. This is great.
