The Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in York PA seeks a Director of Education to teach and manage all education programs.
Applicants should be certified teachers, and have meaningful theatre experience. The flagship education program is a brand new partnership with the York high school, William Penn, and involves managing multiple teachers in a comprehensive performing arts program, as well as directing a play and a musical, and teaching acting classes.
Applicants will be able to navigate the sometimes sensitive politics of a public high school, while still meeting high standards. A detailed description of that program and others is available upon request.
Reports to President and CEO and is the senior staff position in this area.
