Membership utility confusion

Sounds like you are putting the End Date for the update utility into the future. The end date should be today’s date at the latest. The start date can be a fixed in the past.

Might be worthwhile reviewing the number of months you have set for the Expiration rule – make sure it’s correct.

If that’s not the case, then I would suggest submitting a support ticket.

We have just started utilizing a fixed date membership campaign and I have been having quite a bit of trouble with it and I know I am missing a key component but I can't figure out what it is.  The fixed date is 7/1/13 so we have to run the membership utility to update the memberships from pending to active, but for some reason they are all being inactivated.  Then my only recourse is to seemingly reprocess the donations.  Does anyone know what step I am missing?  I can't figure it out from the documentation and I have to stop reprocessing contributions!

Any help would be much appreciated!
