Have any organizations out there used suggested contributions as written amounts on their renewal forms? Or in other ways besides just having it as a reference for box officers? Any thoughts are appreciated.
We had Tess consulting create a custom procedure for us to generate custom donation asks based on various criteria. This customized donation ask is printed on our renewals forms and pulled onto our website for online renewals.
At one organisation I worked at, due to the way we wanted the renewal forms to be printed, the data was extracted via SQL. This was because the data was being sent to a mailing house for printing. The script added a suggested donation amount based on the price zone the seats for renewal were in - the more expensive the zone, the higher the ask. Obviously, the messaging around this was that it was only a suggestion and not a donation that had to be made.
