Membership Issue

Check the campaign set up – if you have entered a Membership Organization – and fund posted to that Campaign will create/upgrade the membership.   To stop leave this field blank.

We had a holiday gift appeal that was linked to Unrestricted Gifts Campaign and an Unrestriced Gift appeal but for some reason it created memberships? How can this be linked to a totally different campaign and effect our memberships?
