Help! I am new to Tessitura. We have 4 membership levels for our Corporate members. How/where do we change the lowest financial membership amount so that we can offer a special reduction. We can do this for interim levels as they are above the minimum, but at below the minimm, it will not accept it. Many thanks!
Hi Maria,
Membership level tart amounts are set under Campaigns > Memberships. Select the Membership Organization for your Corporate members from the panel on the left, and then select the lowest level Membership and edit the Start amount to the lowest donation amount that you want to trigger a Membership.
Note that if you are only offering a special reduction for a short time, there may be a cleaner way of doing this than editing down the entire Membership Level start amount. I have never done it, but you could manually add the membership to these accounts, mark their donations with a specific source, and enter the accurate recognized amount in the Membership details in their account.
Let me know if any of this is unclear!
Frannie
The only way I know to do this is to reduce the minimum amount in your membership set up. Of course, that means in the future that payments at the “regular” level will show up as $X in the Amount field (the discounted amount) and $Y in the AVC amount field.
We have a first-year introductory price but renewals are at a different level. So the first year there is $50 in the Amount field and nothing in AVC Amount, but all the renewals show $50 in Amount and $15 in the AVC Amount, recognizing the “standard” cost of membership.
It has not been a problem for us but it depends on how you use the AVC Amount field.

Maria,
As long as they are set up like normal memberships, you can go to Campaigns and then click on the “Memberships” button in the header. This will allow you to adjust your levels. If you also have special acknowledgement letters connected to these memberships, don’t forget to go to the “References” section and adjust your acknowledgement settings.
Hope this helps, and welcome!
Laine

Here's how: In the main Tessitura menu along the top of the app, click "Go to" and select "Campaigns" Now click on "Campaigns" in that same main menu, and select "memberships" This screen is called the Membership Organization. It should list your membership levels and various details for them, including a price range for each one. Just change the "Start Amt" field to whatever you want the lowest dollar amount to be. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot. Beth Varro Membership Manager Science Museum of Minnesota * * * * * Five big films. Six short weeks. One giant screen.
