Using existing lists in Extraction Manager

Hi, does anyone know how or if I can use my existing lists in extraction manager as a segment? It seems like alot of duplicating if I have to set up the list again in each segment as a new one..

Thanks!

  • Yes, you can.  When defining your segment in extraction manager you can find the data element for List in the folder labeled Other.

  • Go to Other > List > [select your list]

  • To use existing lists, simply select the “List” criteria from the Constituent folder and search for the existing list. I use that all the time in extractions to help save time.

  • George,

We have a “LIST” criteria to include lists in our extractions. There is also a “Copy Segments From” functionality within extractions. I use this a lot when I want to include my standard suppressions. I create a new Extraction, then use the “Copy Segments From” and then build the rest of my specific extraction segments. I agree, it is time consuming to enter the same segments over and over.

Let me know if that helps.
