Historical Contributions

Hi there, 

We've come to realise that there were some contributions missing on our legacy system and as such are missing from Tess. I have tried activating the past campaigns (2010 and 2011) and then processing the payment however I am unable to assign a contribution to past campaigns. 

Is there a way to enter this information?

    Andrea,

    There are a couple of things to check.  First, are all of the funds attached to the campaigns with the correct dates. The other area that usually trips people up is the entry in T-Defaults for Posting Max Backdate Days. Make sure that it is a number large enough to allow you to correctly backdate the postings.

    When you are entering the historical contributions, be sure that you are entering the correct past date for the contribution.  If the funds are assigned to the campaign correctly, you should see the right campaign appear when you select the fund with a past contribution date.

    Thanks so much for your reply- it was really helpful. The funds were assigned to the campaigns correctly but were marked as inactive.

    Annette,

    The options for this default are listed in the help system in the T_DEFAULTS documentation.  Expand Application Defaults and search for POSTING MAX BACKDATE DAYS  and you will find the details for this default.
