We are still relatively new to Tessitura and I’d like advice on how often to schedule the Membership Update Utility. Do you run it daily or monthly?
And what date parameters do you set? Would it be advisable to set the date as 1/1/1900 and today’s date as the end date?

How frequently you run it depends on your membership setup.
We have fixed memberships that all start June 1 and expire May 31, but, depending on the membership level, different groups are suspended or expired at different times. You won’t break anything by updating your memberships nightly, though, I don’t think, no matter how you’re set up. Anyway, that’s what we do—although we would probably be just as effective running it four or five times a year.
Just be sure that your parameters are correct when you schedule the report! Ours runs with a start date of 1/1/1991 and an end date of DayRunDate -1. It is scheduled to run before the workday starts in the morning.

Our utilities are scheduled to run nightly as our memberships are not fixed. We use relative dates for the schedule - start date is DayRunDate -1 and end date is RunDate.
