Has anyone else ever found themselves in a situation where you're talking with a guest and you say "So this is your first time at the theater?" and they say "No, I've been here for such and such and so and so." but when you looked them up in Tess, you didn't have an account under their name?
How do you track attendance when you're dealing with a guest of a donor or ticket buyer? Where do you put that info so that you have some kind of context for your relationship to this person?
Are you building accounts even if you don't know their address/phone info? Keeping the info in research notes? CSI's?
Thanks much!
If you really know nothing about the person except their name and the relationship to a current patron, then I would probably put them in notes because you can’t call, email, or mail to them. If you have any contact information, I would create a record (use XXX in the address and your org zip code to make it easy to delete from mailing lists) and perhaps create an association with the active patron.
