recording attendees of events planned by an outside but linked org

If you are not booking money to a campaign, why not use Activities? They are much easier to set up than other items, can be added and updated using lists, and have workable reports.

Our Friends are slightly separate to the Theatre and bank separately although the money they raise is spent on the theatre. We adminster (and bank the money) for the memberships but several events each year are run by the Friends themselves and they bank the money.

For every event they run I am given a list of the attendees  which I would like to log in Tessitura, does anyone have any hints or tips as to the best way to do this? At the moment I am thinking Elevated events or CSI's.
